Meet Wendy with Healthy Communities Coalition! 🌱
For over 30 years, Wendy and her incredible team have been champions for change, making a lasting impact in our community through dedication, heart, and service.
One of their most inspiring efforts began 12 years ago when Wendy secured a grant to launch a school garden program—bringing together local farmers and passionate teachers to enrich the lives of students.
At Silver Stage Middle School, the program bloomed thanks to teacher Rachel Leach and farmers Marsha & Steven from Churchill Butte Organics. Even after the original grant ended, their commitment kept the garden alive—providing students with hands-on learning, nourishment, and connection to the earth. 💚
This garden is more than plants—it's a symbol of resilience, education, and community unity.
