🌱 Meet the Farmers Helping Keep This Garden Alive! 🌱

We’re continuing our story with a huge shoutout to Marsha & Steve from Churchill Butte Organics—two local farmers whose dedication has helped keep the Silver Stage Middle School garden alive and thriving! 🥕🌿

Twelve years ago, Wendy from Healthy Communities Coalition planted the seeds of this movement by launching a school garden program. Her goal? To bring together passionate teachers and farmers to create hands-on learning spaces for students, teaching them where food comes from and the importance of sustainability.

That dream lives on today thanks to people like Rachel Leach, the amazing teacher we introduced last week, and Marsha & Steve, who have gone above and beyond to support and sustain the garden long after the original grant ended.

🌻 From sharing farming knowledge to helping tend the garden physically, Marsha & Steve show students the power of community, agriculture, and resilience.

💚 This is more than a garden—it’s a community movement, and it’s still growing strong.
