We’re Speaking Up—Are You Listening? Nevada Youth Share What They Need Most

📍 From Lyon County to every corner of Nevada, our youth are stepping up and speaking out. And what they’re saying is powerful.

In the video “We’re Speaking Up, Are You Listening?” young Nevadans deliver heartfelt messages beginning with “Dear Mom. Dear Dad. Dear Legislators. Dear Teachers…” It’s a wake-up call for all of us.

🎙️ They’re not holding back. They’re sharing what’s really happening in their lives:

• 🚭 Some kids are trying vapes before the age of 11

• 🚗 Many teens have ridden with someone who’s been drinking

• 💨 For most teens, smoking is the top way they use marijuana

These aren’t just stats. These are our kids, and they need us now more than ever.

Their message is simple but urgent:

“We want you to show up for us.”

So, how can we show up?

✅ Eat dinner together
✅ Cheer from the sidelines
✅ Be present. Be proud. Be proactive.

They’re not just students. They’re not just athletes. They’re our daughters, sons, neighbors, and friends. And they’re counting on us.
