2023 Youth Legislation Day

Youth Legislation Day, hosted by Partnership Douglas County with HCC and multiple partner agencies participating, was held on March 31. It was part of Take Down Tobacco National Day of Action. 

Youth came from several coalitions across Nevada to speak on their concerns around the Vaping Epidemic they are seeing in their schools and communities. They also spoke on the bills AB53 and AB294. The Silver Stage High School students who attended spoke to Senator Robin Titus, Assemblyman Ken Gray and Assemblyman David Orentlicher.

?The Youth also were able to get a guided tour of both the legislation building and the capital building.?
