Save the dates for Michelle Trujillo’s inspiring workshop on igniting hope in the midst of adversity. Just in time for May “Mental Health Matters” month, she’ll offer the workshop free through Healthy Communities Coalition’s May 13 and June 10, 2021 meetings via Zoom (9am-11am). She’ll offer the first half of the workshop in May and the second half in June.
During challenging and uncertain times, communities look to educators, community service providers, and others to continue to sustain their roles as “ignitors of hope.” This presentation will offer insights about how to keep doing that, even when adversity can make many people feel professionally overwhelmed and emotionally and physically exhausted. Attendees will learn strategies to take care of themselves and others through the lens of Adult Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) skills.
Michelle Trujillo is an author, inspirational speaker, and educational consultant. She makes a tangible, sustainable, and positive difference through her books, speaking, and trainings. Michelle shares enthusiasm, in-the-trenches experience, and applicable take-aways with her audience while imparting a philosophy that engages educators and ignites hope. Named Nevada’s 2016 Innovative Educator of the Year, she has appeared on television (including Oprah) and radio across the nation as a guest expert. Her keynotes and trainings leave audiences enthused, inspired, and deeply touched. Her newest book, Start With the Heart: Igniting Hope in Schools through Social and Emotional Learning, was released in 2019.
