Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey joins together with many others in planting blue pinwheels for National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Each April, Child Abuse Prevention Month recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to strengthen families to prevent child abuse and neglect. This collaboration helps protect children and produce thriving families.

Strong early bonds with caregivers build healthy brains. Nurturing and attachment with caring adults in early
life is associated with an increased ability to cope with stress later in life.
