Mobile Dental Van and UNR Rural Clinic April 25 in Yerington

Do you have tooth pain? Join Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey (HCC) in partnership with Drop-In Medical for a FREE mobile dental event at South Lyon Medical Center at 213 South Whitacre Street, Yerington, NV 89447 on Sunday, April 25.

Free Services: Dentists Dr. Veronika Vazquez and Dr. Shanna Kim, assisted by students from Truckee Meadows Community College’s Dental Hygiene Program, will offer restorative services including free fillings and extractions for adults 18 years of age and older. “We’re so grateful for the generous philanthropic efforts of Drop-In Medical and the hard work of caring volunteers bringing these services to rural residents,” said Healthy Communities’ director Wendy Madson.

More about Drop-In Medical: The April 25 mobile dental clinic is a special event. Normally, Drop-In Medical works with businesses to bring dental services to them onsite, making it easy for employees to keep up with their routine dental exams by bringing dental care to them. The mobile dentistry van is fully equipped and can provide dental x-rays, exams, and cleanings. Dr.Vazquez explains that Drop-In Medical “has worked with prominent companies in San Francisco to deliver exceptional dental services. We are now excited to be in Northern Nevada. UNR Rural Outreach Clinic: In addition University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine will be offering a FREE Rural Outreach Clinic for underinsured and uninsured people on the same day, Sunday, April 25 from 9am to 1pm at South Lyon at 213 South Whitacre Street in Yerington. Services offered include adult/child vaccinations; blood pressure checks; women’s health screenings and tests; diabetes screenings, education and management; clinical evaluations and physicals; and blood work.
