Please join us for a FREE online series of classes on Diabetes Self Management beginning May 28, 2020.
What: This 6 week self-management class was developed at Stanford University and offers anyone living with diabetes – or anyone living with or caring for someone with diabetes – the tools and skills to successfully manage their condition.
Skills covered include healthy eating, physical activity, stress management, meal planning, working with your health care provider, reading food labels, and more.
Who: The purpose of this class is to help people with diabetes feel better, do the things they want to do and take control of their health. It is also very useful for anyone who is pre-diabetic or giving care to someone with diabetes.
When: This great opportunity to help people take charge of their own health is being offered free online May 28; June 4, 11, 18, 25 and July 2, 2020 from 1:30pm to 4pm.
Register: Contact Jenny Claypool (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information or to register for the classes.
The free diabetes self-management courses are one strategy in our region’s Health and Wellness Hub, a network that includes health promotion, prevention and cost-effective service delivery. Many groups and individuals, working together strategically, are expanding access to dental, medical, vision and behavioral health care and wellness education in rural Lyon and Storey Counties.
