Potluck at Silver Stage Pantry’s New Location March 1

Silver Springs, Nevada – Healthy Communities Coalition’s Silver Stage Food Pantry is moving. We are thrilled to be partnering with Veterans Healing Camp for our new home! Visit us in our new location at 1775 US Highway 50 East, Silver Springs, Nevada.

March 1st Meet and Greet: Join us to celebrate the partnership between the Veterans Healing Camp and the Silver Stage Food Pantry that has made our new location possible! There will be a meet and greet and potluck at our new location on March 1, 2020 at 1pm at 1775 US Highway 50 East. Please bring a dish to share. More details about the pantry are below the map:

Getting Food Assistance: Are you in need of food assistance? Pantry clients need to bring proof of Nevada residency (Nevada-issued drivers license or ID, or a photo ID and a NV SNAP or Medicaid card, current utility bill, rental agreement, or other document verifying your physical address).

Contact: The Pantry’s number, during the transition to the new site, is temporarily 559-303-8759. After the transition is complete and all utilities are in place, it will again be 775-577-9161.

Pantry Hours: Monday-Friday 10 am-4pm (closed on holidays). The Pantry holds a special hour just for our Veteran pantry guests to receive food on Tuesdays from 9am-10am.

Creating Community Togetherness: The Pantry provides more than food. It’s also a hub where community members can come together to share conversation, receive referrals to services, and volunteer their time to help neighbors in need. Additionally, the Pantry provides home food delivery to clients who are unable to travel to the pantry.

Volunteering: At the Silver Stage Food Pantry, we believe that our best asset is our people. Our hard working volunteers contribute thousands of hours of service to the Pantry each year. These hours of service make the smooth operation of the Pantry possible. To learn more about volunteering your time and talents with the Pantry, call or stop by our new location at 1775 US Hwy 50 East.

Donations: Healthy Communities Coalition works closely with USDA, Food Bank of Northern Nevada, other partner agencies and nonprofits, local businesses, and community members to keep Pantry shelves stocked. Through generous donations, we are able to provide a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and dairy, in addition to dry and canned goods. Food donations can be dropped off at your local pantry during normal business hours.
