The laws of the state of Nevada require hosts to take care in preventing minors from drinking alcohol at their homes, properties or events. This includes, but is not limited to, verifying the age of guests. If, for example, a minor receives alcohol at a private party, but later injures themselves or someone else, the host of that party may be liable in a civil lawsuit.
