Dayton, Nevada – Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties has an opening for a Garden Assistant.

Do you love working with the soil, meeting new people, and growing delicious, fresh food? Join Healthy Communities’ team and be an important part of our support for school and community gardens. Our community-based, regional non-profit organization is seeking an employee who is excited about sharing their love of nature with children and community members through teaching and mentorship, hands-on gardening, and garden maintenance. The position will also help customers and network with local farmers at our weekly Dayton Farmers Market. The ideal applicant will have previous gardening experience, but we are willing to train the right person. This opportunity is part time (up to 20 hrs/ week) and pays $10/hr.
