There will be no January meeting of the Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties so that our staff and partners can attend the Nevada Human Services Network’s annual awards breakfast and support the very deserving honorees.

Where and When? The HSN’s 29th Annual Human Services inspiring awards event will be held in the Capri Grand Ballroom at the Peppermill Resort and Casino on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 8 am to 10 am.

Awards: The following agencies and individuals will be honored for their exemplary work: Dennis Myers, Reno News and Review; Sherif Elfass, Northern Nevada Muslim Center; Heather Korbulic, Silver State Health Exchange; Breanna Gianopoulos and Elisha Harris, Communities in Schools of Western Nevada; Robin Brockelsby, Crisis Call Center; Nevada State Assemblywoman Teresa Benitez-Thompson; Erynn Dardy, Hug High School; and The Life Change Center.

HCC Meetings Resume in Feb: Our monthly breakfast meetings will resume as normal in February.  Perfecto Manuta of the Reno Vet Center  (Veteran Administration) and Quinn Cartwright of the Nevada Community Health Worker Association will be guest speakers during the Thurs Feb 8th Healthy Communities 9am meeting at the Silver Springs Community Center.
