Position: Community Health Worker Coordinator

Overview:
We are looking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Community Health Worker Coordinator with Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties.

The Community Health Worker Coordinator is responsible for coordination of community health worker (CHW) training courses and coordinating filed placements for students participating in CHW field placements under the Behavioral Health Workforce and Education Development Grant. Additionally, the Community Health Worker Coordinator will provide oversight for Tobacco Prevention programs.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in community health or related field or one year experience preferred.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Recruiting TOT Certified instructors
Booking suitable training location
Creating training advertisement
Sending advertisement emails
Preparing course documents and materials
Entering course test and evaluation data
Update course gradebook bi-weekly
Sending bi-weekly course emails
Answering student questions

Coordinating student field placements
Recruiting students
Matching students with field placements
Gathering and entering course and field placement registration and evaluation data into the project databases
Identifying new field placement sites
Attending monthly team meetings

Tobacco Prevention
Tobacco 21 readiness surveys
Community meetings
Assist with youth prevention teams
