Notice of Intent to File Application
The Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties (HCC) anticipates filing a grant application with the USDA-Rural Development Community Facilities programs for the purpose of obtaining a USDA grant to assist with the purchase of refrigeration at the Silver Stage Food Pantry in Silver Springs, Nevada. This purchase will help meet the present and future needs of the non-profit food bank demands of the Lyon and Storey County service areas.
The total cost of the project is approximately $28,000 and the amount of grant funding requested is approximately $13,750.
This matter will be scheduled for public discussion and comments at a Healthy Communities Coalition board meeting on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 3:00 pm at HCC’s new office location at 209 Dayton Valley Road, Dayton, NV 89403.

This notice must be published within 60 days of filing an application so that the proposed USDA financing is discussed at a public meeting. The applicant will be required, at least 10 days prior to the meeting, to publish a notice of the meeting and to notify the Agency. The applicant will provide the Agency a copy of the published notice and minutes of the public meeting.
