Dayton, Nevada –The Dayton Chili Cookers are again partnering with Healthy Communities Coalition’s Dayton Food Pantry for a big chili cookoff, Superbowl party, silent auction,and raffle to benefit the Pantry.
The event begins at noon on Sunday, February 5th at the Dayton Valley Golf Course and Grill. Judging begins at 1pm.
Chili tasters are always welcomed, and it’s just $5 to sample, or $3 for a bowl.

Silent auction items include hotel stays, dinners, breakfasts, golf lessons, car oil changes, gym passes and more donated by Nevada Rural Housing Authority, Cowee CPA’s LTD Graphics, Makena Spohr, Gold Dust West, Dayton Valley Golf, Western Nevada College, Steven Saylor, River Vista Fitness, Rick Vaughn, Eagle Valley Golf, New West Distributors, etc.
Raffle prizes include everything from extra large pizzas to tickets to an Aces baseball game to salon services and more. The raffle drawing taking place at 3pm the day of the event (winners must be present to collect prizes). Raffle prize donors include Pizza Facotry, 1st & 10, La Posada Real, New West Distributors, Dayton Valley Golf, Pioneer Crossing, Slotworld, Nevada Rural Housing, Gold Dust West, Jackpot Crossing, Justine’s Family Salon, Dayton Golf Shop, Tru Hair Studio, The Veny, Handjive, etc.
Organizers say the community made this event a big success last year and they are excited to see the turn out this year.
