The Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties hosts its monthly public breakfast meeting on Thursday, August 11th at the Silver Springs Community Center. All are welcome to join the monthly meeting which includes discussion and strategic planning on a wide range of issues affecting community vibrancy in the Lyon and Storey regions.
Among the agenda items this month, there will be general discussion about possibilities for acquiring a central location for some of the Coalition’s collaborative community projects. Below is the “Notice of Intent to File Application” required by USDA Rural Development Community Facilities Programs.
Notice of Intent to File Application
The Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties anticipates filing a loan application with the USDA-Rural Development Community Facilities Programs for the purpose of financing a property purchase located at 209 Dayton Valley Road, Dayton Nevada to meet the present and future needs of the non-profit food bank and nursery demands of the Lyon and Storey County service areas including the Dayton region.
The total cost of the project is approximately $455,000 and the amount of funding requested is approximately $375,000. This matter will be scheduled for public discussion and comments at the Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties board meeting on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 9:00am at the Silver Springs Community Center at 2945 Ft Churchill St, Silver Springs, NV 89429.
