A full time Project Manager/ Operations and Communications Coordinator will be hired to manage the logistics of outreach strategies, scheduling of professional development, design of online evaluation tools and data collection of Community Health Workers, website development and maintenance and on-line and real-time communications of the Association under the supervision of Turning Point, Inc. This position will gradually evolve into the Director for the Association as it becomes its own independent 501(c)(3)
A grant was awarded through NDPBH’s CDPHP Section to the Rural Nevada Health Network (RNHN) that operates through the Healthy Communities Coalition (HCC) of Lyon and Storey Counties. RNHN is directed by Dr. Deborah Loesch-Griffin of Turning Point, Incorporated (TPI). The grant supports the establishment of a statewide association for Community Health Workers (CHW). RNHN is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Community Health Worker Association Project Manager and Operations and Communications Coordinator located at TPI offices in Virginia City, Nevada. The Community Health Worker Association Project Manager will manage the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of a statewide Community Health Worker Association under the direction of Turning Point, Inc. The CHW Association Project Manager will ensure that the Association has met its deliverables and established a network for ongoing practice and policy support and development around the priorities of CHWs and their employers. The CHW Association Project Manager will be the point of contact on CHW Association initiatives. The candidate should possess strong evaluation and data analysis expertise, as well as demonstrate proficiency with on-line communications and database management, and program management skills. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but may be substituted with equivalent experience in similar positions; preference will be given to bilingual (Spanish and English) candidates. Experience in health outreach, understanding of cultural competency, preventive care coordination, and community collaboration is highly recommended.
