Healthy Communities Meets Thurs Feb 11th

Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties holds its monthly public meeting on Thurs Feb 11th, 2016 at 9am at the Silver Springs Community Center. Please join us for breakfast and coffee, discussion and planning on items of regional importance, and updates from diverse Coalition partners from the fields of education, health care, law enforcement, the arts, positive youth development, social services, jail diversion, mental health services, substance abuse treatment and prevention, food security, agriculture, job training, community volunteering, etc.  If you’d like to be added to our email list for monthly agendas, please email Quest at quest@theodata.com

Request for Applications: The meeting will be followed by a Bidder’s Conference at 11am. Application packets will be available and we will be happy to answer any questions at that time. It is not mandatory that you attend. What is the Bidder’s Conference? Healthy Communities Coalition and the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Agency (SAPTA) are seeking applications for funding under the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block grant, the State Prevention Infrastructure and Methamphetamine Prevention Education and Public Awareness State General Funds.

Healthy Communities Coalition includes people from a wide range of groups and projects, all working together on common goals to increase opportunities for health and wellness.
